#13: Monument of the Sky

• The Concept: That exact moment when the earth holds its breath—the point where a solid block of red earth meets a sky of towering clouds. It isn’t a massive interior thought; it is the simple, profound meeting of matter and air.
• The Presence: I’ve constructed a permanent monument from the desert’s most essential elements. Using a wide-screen format, I wanted to show that even the clouds have “bones” and a measurable structural weight. They aren’t just vapor; they are carved moments of light sitting atop the unshakeable weight of the red earth.
• Spatial Impact: This work acts as a Window Unit into a state of absolute strength. The bold crimson base serves as a Sovereign Anchor, grounding the room, while the ascending clouds offer the mind a place to rest and breathe. It is a “Steady Spot” designed to dissolve the walls of a cramped environment.

  • Strategic Placement: A main hallway, hospital entrance, or lobby—anywhere a dramatic, wide-open view is needed to provide grounded relief to those in transit.
